All parts in contact with the cloth are rust proof. The machine has a simplified threading system using only a needle thread, various types of sewing thread are suitable.
The machine has been designed to trim uneven ends and extra clearance is given for these trimmings to come away from the machine. It will sew up to 8 mm combined thickness. The sewing produced is a butt seam using a single thread. The length of stitches can be varied from 3 mm to 4.5 mm. The bite in to each piece end can be up to 16 mm. The total sewing width is 19 mm. sewing speed 2200 stitches/minute. The seam is the same thickness as the material and will not mark off. It can be raised, sheared, calendered, printed or coated continuously across the sewing.
The sewing head is of robust design. The machine has special long life cutters and will cut synthetics without continuous regrinding. The cutters are adjustable quickly to give a perfect butt, slight gap, or overlap sewing. The loopers are particularly strong. All working parts and oiling points are below the cloth line and to the right of the cloth area, so that no oil comes in contact with the cloth. The working parts work in an oil bath with a level indicator for long life operation. There is a pump to measure out the oil required.
The latest development is the Type TWT machine. It is a very smooth running machine, totally reliable, with improved feed, extra strong loopers and long life cutters.
The robust steel stand can wheel in all directions including the sewing direction. An inverter controlled motor is fitted to control acceleration and deceleration and running speed.
